Finished Orchard logo. We wanted something that could create a memorable, unique icon, as this will be used in system software as well as branding and documentation. The leaf icon is a play on the name 'Orchard', intersected with a spanner / wrench, since the service provides OS X system maintenance. For the font, we chose Helvetica Neue in thin weight for a modern, Apple vibe.
Logo variants: all black, all white, and a couple of roundrect icons. The icons loosely confirm to iOS style guidelines.
We subsequently developed Orchard iconography for OS X. This is for a software catalogue...
... and this is for a Help page. The Orchard branding uses green colours and Help icons are often blue, so this teal gradient is a nice hybrid. We deliberately kept the 'leaf' icon consistent across branding.
